In Matthew 25:34-36, Jesus gave us groups of people whom His followers should not neglect in their ministry for Him -- the hungry and thirsty, the stranger, the naked, the sick, and those in prison.

Matthew says that everywhere Jesus went he told stories.  Sitting on a cold jail house floor with 14 men around me, I gave them three verses on 'forgiveness' but they could not remember the first one.

"Better a poor but wise youth than an old but foolish king who no longer knows how to take warning..."

Ministry in Philadelphia Part II

After meeting Dr. Ernest McNear, an African American Pentecostal bishop and pastor of a mid-sized inner city congregation, the Lord began to knit our hearts together. Although we came from very different backgrounds, we were compelled by the Holy Spirit to work on very common concerns. The first real fruit of our collaboration was the creation of a reintegration ministry made up of more than 60 congregations called the Kingdom Care Reentry Network (KCRN).
