The art featured on this site is a compilation of street art sourced from the communities where I:58 ministries are located. It is our hope that the I:58 website reflect, resemble and represent the various people groups we have the joy of sharing life with. We are grateful for all of the artists listed below. All images were photographed by I:58.
"As urban ministers, we do not just point to the change what is happening in our communities. Sometimes we look at the sin and brokenness. We ask: why do we do what we do? The answer is: we give of ourselves because we point not to the hope of a better world today or tomorrow; we point to the hope Jesus Christ showed us through his death and resurrection. We point to a God who promises one day he will wipe our tears away. We point to a day where there will no longer be sin and death. God will no longer be the God of Justice because he destroys sin and death. I drew people [attending the I:58 staff gathering, October 2017] because we are the ambassadors, conduits of shalom of God and bringers of God's kingdom come, God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven"
As Zechariah 8:2-8 (NIV) says and we point to in faith:
"This is what the Lord Almighty says: 'I am very jealous for Zion; I am burning with jealousy for her.'
This is what the Lord says: 'I will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the Faithful City, and the mountain of the Lord Almighty will be called the Holy Mountain'
This is what the Lord Almighty says: 'Once again men and women of ripe old age will sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each of them with cane in hand because of their age. The city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing there.'
This is what the Lord Almighty says: 'It may seem marvelous to the remnant of this people at that time, but will it seem marvelous to me?' declares the Lord Almighty.
This is what the Lord Almighty says: 'I will save my people from the countries of the east and the west. I will bring them back to live in Jerusalem; they will be my people, and I will be faithful and righteous to them as their God.' "
